1. CHC Health Reform Webinar on Consumer Education – All CHJ members and supporters are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the latest installment of CHC’s yearlong webinar series dedicated to health reform implementation in California. Getting Ready for Health Reform: Consumer Education and Engagement will explore steps being taken to educate consumers about ACA implementation in CA, and engage them in debate on elements currently taking place. 2. Important Stakeholder Meetings: Medi-Cal Physician Visit Limits and Medicaid Eligibility Requirements – Take part in two important stakeholder meetings on proposed changes to Medicaid. Grand Opening: The New MLK Center for Public Health – Join 2nd District Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas in a celebration of transformation for the new public health center facility joining the MLK health campus in South LA. 7. 2nd District Initiative to Lower STI Rates: On Monday, September 19th, 2nd District Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas held a press conference announcing partnerships and plan to lower the rates of STI’s/STD’s in the area.
