Stroller and Car Seat Accessories Recall

Time to check your travel systems:

Phil&teds is voluntarily recalling over 9,000 Explorer and Hammerhead Strollers in the US and Canada due to brake failure, posing risk of injury. The recall includes “phil&teds model EX explorer” and “phil&teds model HH hammerhead” (check the sticker on the stroller’s real axle bar) sold from August 2010 through June 2011. The serial numbers run consecutively with the month and year, followed by the unit number. Affected serial numbers: 0610/0001 to 0111/4788.
Parents should stop using the products immediately and contact phil&teds to have the faulty parts replaced. For additional information, call the company toll-free at (855) 652-9019 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. MT Monday through Friday, or visit www.philandteds.com.


In other baby gear news, via Health Canada, Bugaboo is recalling car seat adapters and wheeled boards, which can be used with the Bugaboo Chameleon Stroller. The recalls come after the company received one report of an infant falling from a car seat after the wheeled board detached from the seat. The recall includes:
Bugaboo Car Seat Adapter (Item codes: 80401GC02 and 80400GC01)
Bugaboo Wheeled Board (Item code: 85500WB01)
